The Basics Of Makeup

Starting out makeup can seem a bit complicated and daunting if you are completely new to the subject. You will need to figure out the basics of what works for you and your skin. Even though trial and error can be very accurate but at the same time it can be extremely costly. So here is a basic outline for you to follow and kickstart your make up journey:

-Foundation

This step sets the base for the whole look you will do. Choosing the correct shade and type of foundation is absolutely important. Based on your skin type there are two main categories of foundation: Matte or Hydrating. If you have dry skin you should go for the hydrating foundation whereas if your skin type falls under oily you should go for the matt finish foundation. In case you have combination skin you can opt for a primer before you apply your foundation so that your skin is even.

-Setting Powder

Once you have completely applied your foundation properly you can move on to setting it. Setting powder actually is applied so that the foundation does not crease. You apply the setting powder so that it creates a layer on top of the foundation and lets your body heat “bake” the foundation. You can then dust off the excess powder and continue your makeup routine.

-Contouring

After you have set the base in place you can move on to contouring. Contouring is an illusion that makes your face appear bonier than it is. You can use a cream-based contour or even a powder contour based on you liking. This step is the make or break point in you look and can ruin your look if nit done properly.

-Blush

The next step involves adding blush. This step is completely optional but highly recommended because it adds a nice pop of color to your face.

-Highlight

You have got to show off that glam glow you have got going on. After the rouge on the cheeks you can add a strobing streak of gold powder or liquid so as to give that oomph look. This shine on your cheek bone will be irresistible to the beholder.

-Eye Shadow

After you have set the base makeup properly you can move on to your eye makeup. Yu can choose to do a Halo eye or a cut crease or even a smoky eye

-Eye Lash Extensions

Once you are ready and done with all the eye makeup all you need to do is line your eyelids and put on some lash extensions. These extensions should be procured from a suitable eye lash extensions supplier so that you don’t get any infection.

And that it! All that is left to do is slap on a great shade for your lips and you are ready to take on the world!
